Traveling Abroad to Meet Russian Brides

So you've decided to travel abroad to find that dream bride.  There are many things to consider when going to a different country to meet Russian brides. Some of this advice will help you out no matter where you are traveling to find a bride.  Some of the information will be targeted to those seeking Russian brides since you will be required to travel there to see her before she can come and see you if you are from the USA or Canada.

 Your Place or Hers?
 Because of the existing laws and visa regulations, it will make the process move smoother if you go visit Russia to see your potential Russian bride and start to make plans for your wedding if you hit it off. It will be easier for you to go see her in Russia than it will for her as a single woman to get a visitor’s visa to the United States or Canada.
 
 Once you have come to Russia to see her, then it will be less complicated for her to get a visa to come see you.  There is the option of her coming over on a tour to see you, in that case the Tour Agency can arrange the visa, but you will be expected to pay the cost of the tour which can be expensive.  It will cost less money for you to travel to meet your potential fiancée in Russia.
 
 There are different options on what to do when you travel abroad to meet your Russian bride for the first time.  You can arrange a tour through an agency - either a travel agency or a Russian marriage agency.  If you go through a travel agency, it will cost less, but a marriage agency will know what your specific needs are in terms of being in Russia for the first time.  These marriage agencies can help with translation services, along with hotels in different cities and setting up an individualized tour just for you.
 
 When you go to Russia, you may want to meet the woman in Moscow or St.

Petersburg. If you decide to make the arrangements yourself, you should make sure that the plans are acceptable to the Russian woman you will be meeting.  Don't send money to her for travel expenses, send a ticket that you have purchased, so that you may get the refund yourself if the plans fall through.  If she is traveling to Moscow to meet you, tell her you will reimburse her for her ticket when she meets you.  It will only be 50 for a one-way train ticket and she will be willing to spend that much if she is really interested in you.
 
 Make sure that plan things out very carefully ahead of time.  Your potential bride should already have a passport for foreign travel, if not it will take an additional 2-3 months for her to get it.  A Russian woman who is serious about becoming a bride will have the passport.

 What to Do and See?
 There are plenty of cultural and artistic events to attend in many of the Russian cities.  You should discuss with her what she would like to see and do and how she would like to spend time with you in getting to know you.  A mix of social activities combined with dining alone will help you get to know each other in a variety of situations.
 
 If you are traveling outside the country, it's always wise to travel prepared.  Here’s a checklist of some things you might want to bring with you on your travels to Russia to meet a Russian bride.

 Do it Yourself Visa?
 After you meet and decide to get married, you will need to get your bride-to-be into the country you are from.

 For example, if you are trying to bring a Russian bride into the United States, there are a few different ways to accomplish that.  Basically the main goal is to get a "fiancée visa" and there are some requirements involved that are listed below that you must follow in order to get the visa:
 • You have to meet a few Russian brides
 • You meet certain minimum income requirements.
 • Your fiancée does not have a criminal record.
 • Both you and your fiancée are legally free to marry.
 • You must be a U.S. citizen.
 • Your fiancée has not violated certain U.S. immigration laws.
 • You have met your fiancée in person within the previous two years.
 
 Once you are sure that you can meet those requirements, then there are some different approaches you can take to getting the visa.
 1. You can apply for it yourselves and fill out all the paperwork yourselves.  This is the cheapest route, but if the paperwork is not filled out 100 perfectly, it can cause delays in processing.
 2.   You can have a fiancée visa service handle it.  Make sure the service you use is licensed.  Remember, the service will just be filling out the forms for you and are not usually immigration attorneys, so if any legal issues come up, they will be ill equipped to handle them.
 3. You can hire a US immigration lawyer to take care of it.  This is the most expensive option, but also the one that will cause you the least hassle, especially with a bride coming over from Russia.  
 
 There are lots of Do-It-Yourself Kits out there that you can look over that will give you a good idea about what is involved.  The process can go smoothly, but any mistakes can cause delays and that can ruin a marriage with your Russian bride before it even gets started.
 
 Most importantly, do your research on Russian brides.  There is a lot of information about Russian dating out there if you just look around and ask questions.  Information is power, so use it to your best advantage.
