Description for this listing

The property consists of two separate cottages. The primary cottage is set over two floors and measures 78 square metres of construction. The second cottage, which has been constructed in stone, measures around 36 square metres. The property was run as a restaurant until recently, however the property has been converted back into a dwelling.

The property briefly comprises:

Cottage One: The first cottage is set over two floors and was used as a restaurant. The main entrance to the cottage leads into an entrance hallway, which has a tiled floor. Off this hallway there is a spacious living room, which is double aspect and has a wooden beamed ceiling. There is a bar to one corner of this room. Off the hallway there are two bathrooms, one of which has a communal hand basin area. Off this bathroom there are two cubicles both fitted with toilets. The second bathroom has a toilet, bidet, pedestal sink and shower.

The kitchen is situated at the rear of the cottage and has a range of built in stainless steel work units. There is a serving hatch between the kitchen and the living room. There is a bedroom to the ground floor, which is double aspect and has a tiled floor. The second floor of the cottage is access via an exterior metal staircase. The second floor of the property is open plan and there are roof windows in situ. The floor is wooden with a wooden ceiling and there is a log burner stove.

Cottage Two: The second cottage is set over one floor and was originally built in stone. The cottage has been partially restored though internal finishing still needs to be carried out. The cottage measures approximately 36 square metres and is currently all open plan. The cottage has aluminium framed windows and doors.

The property also has a storage building which is located adjacent to cottage one. This storage building is connected to mains electricity and was used as a large, walk in larder for the restaurant, but equally could be used as a utility building.

The property is set on a plot measuring 2,650 square metres, which is fenced. The property has a gated entrance with amply gravel parking. There are a variety of exterior paved patio areas and cobbled paths. The property also has a wide variety of mature fruit trees including orange, lemon, peach and plum.

The cottages are located in a quiet area and ideal for someone looking for a country hideaway with a rental income. The property is situated near the village of Beco in central Portugal and the nearest town is situated at Ferreira do Zezere, which has supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, banks, school, health centre and tourist information offices.
