Description for this listing

The property which measures 175 square metres of construction, is set on a plot measuring 7,760 square metres. The cottage is set over one floor and is connected to both mains water and electricity.

The cottage does require a good deal of renovation work to be carried out though is situated within a peaceful area and is private. The property has a good variety of mature fruit and olive trees in situ and there is a well for irrigating the land. The cottage has been constructed in stone and has wooden framed windows and internal wooden shutters.

The main entrance to the cottage leads into a living room, which has both a wooden ceiling and floor, though both of these do require attention. off the living room there is also an exterior access door which leads out to a covered terrace at the rear of the property. There are two bedrooms off the living room, again with wooden floors and ceilings. There is a rustic style kitchen to the rear of the cottage, which also has a wooden floor and ceiling.  

The property also comes with several outbuildings including a large adega, which is around 30 square metres in dimension. This adega is attached to the cottage and could be converted into additional living space if required. In addition to this there are storage buildings to the front of the adega, which have been constructed in red brick.

The property is situated in a private location yet is not isolated. There are good countryside views from the property, ideal for someone looking for a property to renovate or use for self-sufficiency purposes.

The property is situated near the village of Beco in central Portugal. Beco has several cafes and a small mini-market. The large town of Ferreira do Zêzere, which has supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, pharmacies, banks, schools and bus station, is around 10 minutes drive from the property.

The property is also a short drive to Castelo do Bode lake, which is Portugal's second largest reservoir. Castelo do Bode lake is popular for all kinds of water sport activities including swimming, water skiing, scuba diving, canoeing, fishing and sailing.

The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and three quarter hours by car.
