N580102 In the center of Düsseldorf the 7-story office building became a central point in the 60's. It has a full cellar.
The building was finished in 1969 and was designed as an office building and commercial building with business possibilities in the ground floor and living use in the 6th upper floor (7th Amer.).
The building was built with massive wall construction with foundations and projectile ceilings from reinforced concrete as well as outer walls and carrying walls in the basement. The flat roof is from timber construction as a cold roof with corresponding insulation and roofing from three-ply roofing.
The street-side facade of the construction body has slate plates and the windows are dressed up with marble slabs. The back of the building is protected from the weather with lime-cement agent.
In 1994 the some repairs were carried out including the renewal of the window surfaces. The street side has aluminium windows with sound and warmth protection glazing and the yard-side windows are insulated with warmth absorbing layers.
There is a staircase in the middle of the building from stone as well as a 5-passenger elevator. The basement of the front building serves predominantly for the accommodation of the technical arrangements like the heating system from natural gas, the garbage shoot and the transformer station which is used for a low percentage of the electric utilities of the building.
The transformer station and the electric rectifier arrangement are used to supply a current to the stops (as for example lighting and ticket machine) directly by the building. The transformer station as well as the electric rectifier arrangement are climate-controlled.
This air channel and exhaust channel stretches through the cultivation and the staircase core of the building. In the concentric entryway there is an opening that leads down to the basement. In the rear area of the front building there was a booking office with a passport photograph machine.
Between the cultivation and front building there is a patio which exposes the front area of the shops. There is also a lot of light exposure in the roof.
These rooms were used as a lounge and sanitation for the office workers as well as a telephone and radio hub. In the upper floors the exclusive businesses are accommodated.
Groundfloor, 1st floor (2nd Amer.), 5th floor (6th Amer.
) and 6th floor (7th Amer.) are already empty.
In November the remaining roomswill be vacated. The subdivision of the office floors is very similar because of the concentric reception, the left-hand and right-hand sanitation areas, including tea kitchen as well as the street-side and yard-side business premises.
Because no carrying walls exist between the business premises, a new subdivision can take place according to your own image. 2 business premises can be furnished maximally to the street side and 3 rooms to the yard side.
The office floors differ in the 1st and 2nd floors (2nd and 3rd Amer.) with two front doors, so that one floor can also be used by two parties.
Walls have been removed between some of the reception areas and businesses. According to the plans from 1968/69, this was planned to be a 6-story apartment building, but was later used for offices.
