The house is on 2 levels and comprises: 4 beds to sleep 8. Fully equipped kitchen with all white goods (dishwasher,cooker,oven,fridge and freezer,microwave,breakfast table,coffee machine,all cutlery and crockery included.) Lounge has wood burning stove,dining table to seat 6, TV with cable,CD and DVD player, Internet connection. 2 Bathrooms: ground floor has large semicircular bath with shower,lots of space for towels (provided), loo,washbasin and bidet. The second bathroom is ensuite off the master bedroom upstairs and has a hand built walk in shower made from glass brick. The master also has seperate changing room that holds a safe,lots of cupboard space and full length mirror. Outside there is a very private paved space surrounded by granite walls with lime and pear trees giving shade and seclusion. Barbecue. Seating for 8 with umbrella for protection from the sun. Bedroom 2 is downstairs and has 2 single beds with shutters and granite surrouning the windows.Large walk in cupboard. Bedroom 3 is upstairs and is wood lined with wooden floor and is perfect for children - again with 2 singles. At the end of the garden is a stand alone granite built "Haven" - a private and romantic space that was renovated 4 months ago: double bed,dimmer switch and washbasin. A beautiful space! The house has tiled terracotta floors throughout downstairs and wooden floors on the first floor. All windows shuttered downstairs and blinds upstairs. The house is perfectly situated for a great holiday. Leca is quiet but active - it was once a busy fishing port and is now home to a mix of people from young families and professionals and older folk who provide a life line to the past. The restaurants here are famed and at weekends the cobbled streets temm with people looking to treat themselves - all budgets are catered for here with fine-dining options and many cheaper options too. At the end of our road is a great restaurant where a fresh fish grill,wine and desert will cost €20 per head whilst there are lunch options for only €5 per head! As you walk to the marina and castle there are many bars and restaurants open till late. Visit Solar das Suecos Event Centre where you can dine wonderfully at night after a day by their pool and make use of the jacuzzi and sauna....a great place to unwind and yours for €7 per day!All manner of shops are within a 5 minute walk as are the banks and pharmacy etc. Now to the beach! It's beautiful and the front has been regenerated and designed by the world famous Siza Viera. His salt water Infinity pool is by the beach too (€7.50 per day). By the lighthouse are the Tea Rooms of Siza - a must for tea and cake by the beach. The front is great for walking,cycling and skating. There are numeroous play parks for kids and Traquinhs Indoor Centre is really close to our house where kids can jump around all day supervised allowing parents to wander off and "do their own thing!". €7 per day per child. The Riding School is within walking distance. There's a surf school at the beach - many competitions are held at Leca and nearby Matosinhos where the Fish Market must be seen to be believed! Take the metro and explore the heart of old Porto.
