Villa Terang Bulan 1 is an intimate, three-bedroom, fully staffed villa in the traditional village of Bengkel in Tabanan Regency - Bali’s ‘rice bowl’. One of three villas perched on the side of a small river valley with jungle and rice fields and mountain views all around, it is only 30 minutes from Seminyak and 10 minutes from the Nirwana Golf Course, but a world away from the stresses of modern life.
Guests are met at the entrance by series of water features including a water wall, a lotus pond and a fountain as the home opens up to the views of the green valley below. The house is very fully furnished, comfortable, and tastefully decorated with antiques from Java and Bali. The villa has a well-equipped European kitchen with hardwood floors throughout and is finished in white and river stone exteriors. WiFi Internet, DVD player and flat screen television with satellite channels are provided.
The dining table seats six comfortably and in the sitting area the ceiling rises to two stories with tall windows providing lots of natural light and wonderful cross ventilation. There are two large sunny upstairs bedrooms with four-poster beds with a shared balcony and bathroom with both bath and shower. Downstairs is the large guest bedroom with en-suite and French doors that open out to a small patch of the garden.
Stone steps lead down from the living room to the pool deck and garden. The garden is small but well thought out with mature broadleaf tropical plants, banana trees and palms dotted around a well-kept lawn with a 8 x 3m swimming pool with sun loungers and a small bale relaxation pavilion looking out over the rice fields below.
Terang Bulan 1 is quiet and private with only the sounds of nature to keep you company, just perfect for a small family or a group of friends to relax and enjoy the villa’s beautiful and natural surroundings.
