45 kms Nearby there is a nature reserve area and travelling area. At the beginning of the nature trail - a site of many mining excavations - there are the historic remains of the silver mining industry.
Approximately 250 meters to the south of object there is a modern outdoor swimming pool which was built in 1988. Today, direclty nearby there are important buildings like a feudal estate, church, vicarage, town hall.
Structural details: The castle was built in approx. 1260 with moat.
In 1975 a supplementary southern building was constructed. The castle is in a suburb of a village on a mountain above a small river.
In the years 1980-89 an extensive reconstruction and modernization took place throughout the entire castle grounds. The building consists of 3 stories and a cellar with a converted attic.
The castle is designed with interlocking parts of the building placed around an inner court. All around the castle there is an approx.
8 m deep and 15 m wide ditch for a moat. There are two bridges: the main entrance bridge and the so-called north bridge.

The object was redeveloped in 1990 extensively and was used as a holiday home. Until 1995 it was used as a hotel and restaurant.
Since 1995 the object has not been used. Because it is still near its orignal state, parts of the castle need renovation and modernization.
Since 1999 some rooms and halls have been renovated / modernized. Currently some rooms are being rented out for events and seminars.
