(1)The Introductuon of the Five Tiger Water Gate Great Wall:

The second miracle in its history of the great walll.

In the southeast of Caojialu village(in Miyun county, 130km/78miles away from downtown) ,This part of the Great wall built in the Ming dynasty(1368-1644),there is a special water gate pass, called “five taiger water gate pass”there are two arched gates convenient transportation to the east and west, which are more than 6metres high, 3metres wide, both inside and outside of gateway are decorated with carvings of tiger head, there is a corved lying tiger toward water gate. why? It’s said that the wild boars destoried the gate occasionly when it was built in Ming Dynasty,followed a wise’s advice, they successfully protected gate eventually.Unfortunely, one of five tigers’ headhad stolen few years ago.An old wheel well is still kept on the wall,a gate-groove, which used to be the place of board of the floodgate ,is about 10cm wide on the internal wall, the villagers control the flow of water by lifting or pulling floodgate.

Picking up at the hotel in the early morning around 8am.get to the section in 2 and half hours approximatly,visiting the rest of four tigers head and other unique architectures along the wall,hiking for 2 hours on the wall.drive back to the hotel in the afternoon. Lunch included.
