The two storey cottage is connected to mains electricity and telephone however it does require modernisation and renovation works. The original stone cottage has been extended over the years and there is a double storey brick and a single storey, flat roof extension either side. The oldest part of the cottage retains many original features including stone window and door surrounds.

The main entrance leads into a hallway with a staircase leading to the ground floor of the cottage. Off this entrance there is a hallway which runs the length of the cottage.  Off this hallway there are three bedrooms, all with wooden floors and ceilings.

To the ground floor of the cottage there is a living room with a corner fireplace and a rustic style kitchen with a traditional fireplace. There is a door from the living room which leads out to the rear of the cottage. There are animal pens adjacent to the cottage.

The cottage has approximately 1,500 m2 of land, which is situated to the side and rear of the cottage. This land is all relatively flat and has a variety of fruit trees and a wide selection of mature grape vines.

The cottage is located within a rural area, on the outskirts of the village of Aguas Férreas.  The larger town of Pombal, which has supermarkets, post offices, banks, shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, schools and train station is approximately four km drive from the cottage. The closest airport is Porto, which is approximately 140 kilometres.
