The single storey stone cottage has 50 centimetre thick walls, which helps keep it cool during the summer months. The window and door surrounds are stone and the cottage also has a telephone line installed. Mains water and electricity are connected.

The double opening front door leads directly into a spacious living room, which has a traditional wooden ceiling and floor. The garden immediately surrounding the cottage has some mature shrubs, flowers and grape vines and there are a variety of fruit and olive trees.

The property is located on the outskirts of the village of Areias which has several cafes bars, a mini-market and post office. The town of Ferreira do Zêzere is approximately 25 minutes drive and Tomar is approximately 10-15 minutes drive from the property.  It is around one and a half hours' drive from Lisbon airport.
