Foreigners are allowed to purchase property in Egypt but are limited to only 2 real estate properties, and the area of each property should not be in excess of four thousand square meters.
As all legal contracts are in Arabic with English only being used as guidance, NEVER sign a contract that is written in English or any other language when it comes to property purchase as you will put yourself in a serious risk position.
You will be asked to issue your solicitor / lawyer a power of attorney which is obtained from the notary office for him to act on your behalf when authenticating the sale contract with the courts.
