Raja Ravi Varma’s paintings, Kathakali and Mohiniattam dance forms, sculptures, temple architecture, handicraft items etc are great attractions of Kerala. During this tour, you will be taken to a cultural center in a typical village. You will stay along with he artists and can get first hand experience in making and learning various dance forms, yoga, and meditation etc.

Package 1 (Heritage and Village)

Cochin - Alleppey- Changanacherry-Aranmula-Quilon-Kovalam- Thiruvanandapuram

Day 1: Cochin

Arrive cochin, Meet and assist on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon visit of Cochin-The Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue, Chineese fishing nets and spices market. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Cochin-Alleppey-Changanacherry- Aranmula

After Breakfast. Drive to Alleppey, Cruise on board motorboat to Chanaganacherry, through the backwaters.  Drive to Aranmula, On arrival, check in at the Vijnana Kala Vedi (Village Houses). Explore the village, you may walk to the Holy River Pampa, always bustling with activities. You may also go around the temple where you see the temple elephants. All meals and overnight at the Vigjnana Kala Vedi.

Day 3: Aranmula

After breakfast begin your day with a yoga session from 8-9. Begin your workshops around 10 AM (Subjects offered - Katakali, Katakali makeup, Classical dance, Karnatic Music, Wood Carving, Kalaripayat, Percussion and Kaulam). Each workshop will be one and a half hour to two hours. And when you are free you can watch other classes. In the afternoon, continue with the same subjects or some other subject which you can choose. All meals and overnight at Vignana Kala Vedi.

Day 4: Aranmula

After breakfast, proceed with your workshop till late afternoon. All meals and overnight at Vigjnana Kala Vedi.

Day 5: Aranmula-Quilon

Yoga Session at 8 am. After breakfast you can have a katakali make up session. Your teacher will paint your face exactly like an original katakali dancer. Afternoon Drive to Quilon. Dinner and overnight at backwater resort.

Day 6: Quilon

Breakfast. Day at leisure. Visit villages and relax by the backwaters. Overnight at the resort.

Day 7: Quilon-Kovalam

Breakfast. Drive to Kovalam (100 Kms), day to leisure. Have and Ayurvedic Rejuvenation and beauty therapy. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Kovalam

Breakfast. Full day excursion to Cape Comorian. En Route visit Padmanabhapuram palace and Suchendram temple. Witness the panoramic sunset and return to Kovalam. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Kovalam

Morning at leisure, aftrnoon visit of Trivandrum Padmanabha Swamy Temple, swathy museum and Handicraft institute. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10: Trivandrum / Onward Destination.

Assistance for departure and transfer to the airport for flight to onward destination.
