The house is located in a hamlet, Merišće, at the Croatian border with Slovenia/EU. The hamlet has an idyllic location, 15mn drive to the beach, overlooking the Adriatic sea, in vineyards and olive tree groves. There are roughly 15 houses (most of them old traditional stone houses), some owned by local families and some by international owners. The first inhabited neighbouring house is owned by a Swiss couple.
The closest intl airport is Ljubljana (Slovenia), 90 minutes drive (Flight with Easyjet) and the other one is Trieste airport 50 minutes drive (flight with Ryanair).
The house has all the necessary facilities to be enjoyed in both summer and winter : central heating, aircon, phone connections, satellite antenna, etc. There is a possibility of uncovering the stones from the facade. The plaster is old and can be easily removed to uncover the stones and have a lovely traditional stone facade.
The mansarda is the only room that is partly renovated. This gives you the opportunity to create your own lovely and roomy space that has direct access to the terrace overlooking the sea.
