Description for this listing

The property has been built to a high standard and is fully double glazed throughout with dual opening units and has integral roller shutter blinds. The house has been pre-installed for central heating. The main entrance to the house leads into an entrance hallway, which has a tiled floor. Off this entrance hallway there is a triple aspect living room, which has a concrete floor. The living room has a central, flush re-circulating hot air log burning stove.

There is a double garage to this floor, which has an up and over roller doors. The garage doors is manual at the moment, but the constructor has left provision to have electric motors fitted if required. Off the entrance hallway there is a tiled staircase, which has a wooden balustrade which leads to the first floor and a lower ground floors.

To the first floor there are two attic rooms, both of which have gable end windows and concrete floors. Both of these rooms have plumbing installed to enable both to be converted to en-suite bedrooms if required.

The central staircase leads down to the lower ground floor and opens out on to a spacious hallway. Off this hallway there is a double aspect living room and kitchen, which has a set of patio doors leading out on to a spacious veranda which has good views of the valley and an exterior staircase leading down to the gardens. The kitchen area has a tiled floor and plumbing has been installed for all white goods, though kitchen units are not included within the sale price. The dining room area has a concrete floor and a central fireplace. There is also a fully glazed exterior access door which leads out to the side of the house and the gardens.

There are three bedrooms to this floor, all of which have concrete floors and built in wooden wardrobes. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom, which is fully tiled. This en-suite bathroom has a shower, wall mounted vanity basin, toilet and bidet. There is also a family sized bathroom to this floor. This bathroom has a bath with shower fitment above, vanity basin, toilet and bidet.

The basement of the property is spacious. This basement level of the property could, with a little work, but converted into a self contained apartment quite easily. At the moment the basement level of the property is one open space but could be easily sub-divided and gives access to the gardens. There is a large covered patio area to the front of the house.

The property has been constructed to a high standard and also has an intercom system installed with points at the front gate, kitchen, main entrance and within the basement. The property is set on a plot measuring 1,351 square metres, which is fully walled and has been terraced and landscaped. There are a variety of mature cactus and yuccas in place though additional landscaping would be necessary. The property has a paved driveway to the side and there is a plenty of space to have a swimming pool installed.

The property is situated in the town of Castanheira de Pêra in central Portugal and is about five to ten minutes walk to the nearest cafe, restaurant and bar.
